A division of Allen Exploration, known as Walker’s Cay, will be the official sponsor of the Wednesday Pro-Am at the 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship. The event will be branded as the “Walker’s Cay Pro-Am,” and will be held on Wednesday, September 28. The Sanderson Farms Championship will take place September 26 – October 2, 2022 at The Country Club of Jackson.

“We are excited for the opportunity to present the Walker’s Cay Pro-Am this year,” said Tom Allen on behalf of the Allen Family. “There are few institutions that touch as many lives in such a positive way as Mississippi’s Children’s Hospital, and we’re honored to have a role in helping support their important work.”

“We are extremely grateful to Carl and Gigi Allen and Walker’s Cay for continuing their commitment to the Sanderson Farms Championship and our goal of helping to ensure the best possible health care and wellbeing for Mississippi’s children and their families,” said Joe F. Sanderson, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sanderson Farms, Inc.

Walker’s Cay, an Allen Exploration property, is a historic fishing destination in the northern Bahamas, where the company also supports family-based charities. Walker’s Cay Pro-Am at the Sanderson Farms Championship event presents the opportunity for business and community leaders to play alongside real professional golfers while raising additional funds for the tournament’s patron charities. Teams consist of three amateurs playing alongside one PGA TOUR professional. The Pro-Am event is sold out for 2022.

In addition to the Pro-Am, Walker’s Cay will bring back their popular concession area, located adjacent to the 18th fairway. The venue will have two large screen televisions, lawn games, a children’s play area, and an array of food and beverage options. It represents a great gathering spot for spectators looking to take a break from walking the course.

Admission to the Wednesday Walker’s Cay Pro-Am is free for spectators but will require a digital mobile ticket for admission. Digital tickets for the entire tournament will be available through Ticketmaster, beginning July 14. There will be a will call station at Northpark for anyone who needs assistance in securing a digital ticket.

Parking and shuttle transportation for spectators will be at Northpark on County Line Road in Ridgeland. Accessibility parking spaces will be located at Christ United Methodist Church on Old Canton Road in Jackson.
