Since 1994, Century Club Charities has served as the host organization for Mississippi’s PGA TOUR event, helping to raise over $23 million for statewide charities. The tournament has been part of the PGA TOUR schedule since 1968 and is now in its 13th year as a part of the FedExCup. Wayne-Sanderson Farms, the nation’s third largest poultry producer is headquartered in Oakwood, GA., with regional offices in Laurel, MS, is the tournament’s title sponsor.
“Sponsorships are the cornerstone of a successful tournament,” said executive director Steve Jent. “The recent $1 million gift to Children’s of Mississippi, an additional anonymous donation of $100,000 directly to UMMC, coupled with over $400,000 to nearly 50 deserving Mississippi charities brings the 2022 total charitable impact of Century Club Charities to over $1.5 million statewide. Over the years, the commitment our corporate partners have shown our event is extraordinary and illustrates what a wonderful market Mississippi is for both professional golf and philanthropy.”
