The Sanderson Farms Championship is pleased to announce that Brown Bottling Group’s Mountain Dew and Dr Pepper brands will serve as the Official Volunteer Sponsor for the Sanderson Farms Championship for the second year in a row. Notably, Mountain Dew and Dr Pepper will also be the tournament’s Official Soft Drink Provider, while Gatorade and Aquafina will be the Official Sports Drink Provider.
“Brown Bottling Group is thrilled to return as the Volunteer Sponsor for the 2015 Sanderson Farms Championship,” said Shelley Brown Floyd, chief marketing officer of Brown Bottling Group. “Mississippi companies partnering together to benefit Friends of Children’s Hospital and Children’s of Mississippi, the state’s only hospital for children, is a perfect combination.”
The Sanderson Farms Championship offers a unique volunteer experience. Volunteer opportunities range from being an ambassador in hospitality suites, to serving as a marshal and ShotLink operator inside the ropes or walking the course as a caddie or standard bearer. Details of each volunteer opportunity can be found on the website under Volunteer Opportunities.
Steve Jent, executive director of the Sanderson Farms Championship, said, “We are excited to have Mountain Dew and Dr Pepper as the tournament’s Volunteer Sponsor again. Our volunteers are an integral part of the tournament, and we want to make sure they are well taken care of and have a great experience.”
The event, held at The Country Club of Jackson on November 2-8, 2015, primarily benefits Friends of Children’s Hospital, a nonprofit organization created to benefit Children’s of Mississppi. Over the years, the tournament has raised more than $9 million for statewide charities with the help of its volunteers and sponsors.
Opportunities are available to individuals as young as 15 years old and older. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up early to reserve a spot in their preferred committee.
