Online volunteer registration for the 2017 Sanderson Farms Championship officially opens Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Individuals interested in volunteering for the tournament may register HERE. The tournament will be held October 23-29, 2017 at The Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Sanderson Farms Championship offers a unique volunteer experience for all ages. Volunteer opportunities range from serving as a hospitality suite ambassador, inside the ropes as a hole marshal or ShotLink operator, to walking the course as a Pro-Am caddie or standard bearer.
Mississippi’s reputation as “The Hospitality State” is well deserved, and proven time and again by the lifeblood of The Sanderson Farms Championship–our volunteers–who proudly continue to keep our tournament running smoothly by returning year after year,” said Jeff Hubbard, Century Club Charities president. “I am always impressed by the willingness of our volunteers to take time away from their busy lives, and come from around the state, all to help the beneficiaries of our charities, including the Friends of Children’s Hospital supporting Children’s of Mississippi.”
Executive Director Steve Jent added, “We are grateful that we have many groups and individuals who volunteer in order to make our PGA TOUR event the best it can be. Their efforts are the key to a successful tournament.”
Each volunteer will receive a volunteer package including a Sanderson Farms Championship logoed golf shirt and hat, two weekly credentials, the opportunity to play a round at The Country Club of Jackson (minimum 20 hours worked), food and beverages during volunteer shifts, and invitations to volunteer-only events. The volunteer package is valued at $300, but thanks to Sanderson Farms and supportive sponsors, the volunteer fee is only $45.
Volunteers are encouraged to sign up early to reserve their preferred area of service and, in addition, will receive an outerwear piece from Sanderson Farms. - Exclusive “Golden Rooster” hat with pin for each year of being in the GR Club
- Invitation to 2017 Champions Day event
- Volunteer Golf Outing
- 20% off in merchandise tent

Volunteers who qualified for the 2016 volunteer golf outing will automatically be considered a member of the 2017 Golden Rooster Club. This is an annual membership based upon working 20 hours or more the previous year. Members must re-qualify each year to remain active in the club.
